At Helmsley School we encourage all our children to take on roles of responsibility. These can be from group to class to whole school responsibilities.
We are proud to share with you our current School Leaders.
Lead, motivate and support their house teams in all events. They represent them to the best of their ability and lead assemblies regarding expectations.
Represent all pupils at Helmsley School.
Listen to peers, discuss, share views and, where necessary, vote on actions that need to be taken. Help to organise charity events throughout the year. Encourage the pupils in your class to be aware of their school environment and to respect and care for it.
To support Sports leaders with the running of activities. Introduce challenges and assist with timetabling. Encourage others to take part in physical activities during breaks.
Early Years Support

Make sure that playground areas are set up at the beginning of morning break. Before home time pack up all equipment. Return lost property to the stage.
Encourage reading throughout school and they work with others as reading partners. Reading Champions also organise assemblies and reading events, take responsibility for our reading dens and order new books based on our reading preferences.
Ensure that the computer and projector are set up for assembly. Log off and shut down all laptops in the ICT suite at the end of each day. Promote safe use of the computers.
Make sure that lights are turned off, doors are shut and paper is recycled. Eco Warriors do all they can to help the environment.
